Book of Small Prophets Micah Chapter 4

Book of Small Prophets Micah

Chapter 4

¹ In the days to come the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be raised up above the hills.

(Book of the Small Prophet Micah Chapter 4 verse 1)

Oh God my Father these times are such when the Roman Catholic Church is indeed not that popular. Dark and negative events have taken place in the course of history that have left a negative imprint, especially in Malta when a political side was taken by the Clergy and Archbishop of the time obviously due to their own reasons. However, this decision has created a breach among active Catholics, passive ones and others who have given up on Faith and sided with politics making no space for spirituality in their lives, even though at heart they are really good people. I pray that there will come a time when all negativity is removed from our hearts so that we can experience Your light Amen.

² Peoples shall stream to it and many nations shall come and say: "Come let us go up to the mountain of the LORD to the house of the God of Jacob; that we may walk in his paths." For out of Zion shall go forth instruction, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

(Book of the Small Prophet Micah Chapter 4 verse 2)

Oh God my Father, brothers, and sisters, may we all proceed to the mountain of God to give praise and worship as one nation united in God our Father. This is my prayer my God and Father, that there be love and unity among us all Amen.

³ He shall judge between many peoples, and shall arbitrate between strong nations far away; they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore; ⁴ but they shall all sit under their own vines and under their own fig trees, and no one shall make them afraid; for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken.

(Book of the Small Prophet Micah Chapter 4 verses 3 to 4)

Oh God my beloved Father, all that You have permitted to be written is all that shall be done, I am awaiting that day when there will be world peace and that war tactics will no longer be practised against each other Amen.

⁵ For all the people walk, each in the name of its god, but we will walk in the name of the LORD our God forever and ever.

(Book of the Small Prophet Micah Chapter 4 verse 5)

Oh God my beloved Father, many events throughout history were carried out in Your name of which nature You would surely not have objected to, however, such people carried out such acts not really and truly in Your name but in the name of their own created god, which may have been tailored to suit their wishes and according to the circumstances at hand. I pray that we will not continue abusing You and Your Holy Name in such negative ways Amen.

⁶ In that day, says the LORD, I will assemble the lame and gather those who have been driven away, and those whom I have afflicted.

(Book of the Small Prophet Micah Chapter 4 verse 6)

Oh God, my Father I bless You forever and ever, I thank You for our afflictions for in the end we will be gathered close to You.

⁷ The lame I will make the remnant, and those who were cast off, a strong nation; and the LORD will reign over them in Mount Zion now and forevermore.

(Book of the Small Prophet Micah Chapter 4 verse 7)

Oh God my Father in contrast to the world, You do not choose the rich strong and mighty but weak people sinners such as myself to be for Yourself Amen.

⁸ And you, O tower of the flock, hill of daughter Zion, to you it shall come, the former dominion shall come, the sovereignty of daughter Jerusalem.

(Book of the Small Prophet Micah Chapter 4 verse 8)

Oh brothers and sisters, this era, this nation is the remnant of Israel, the remaining people who still believe and worship the name of Jesus. To You we shall come to You, my God and Father, this is an invitation to all of us Amen. I pray that we take it as a personal invitation and press the going button Amen.

⁹ Now why do you cry aloud? Is there no king in you? Has your counsellor perished, that pangs have seized you like a woman in labor?

(Book of the Small Prophet Micah Chapter 4 verse 9)

Oh God, my blessed Father, this is really an important issue that You have raised today. The question that comes to mind is:

"Do we have Your presence in us or not? If the answer of this question is Yes, we do not need to feel tense or stressed because God our Lord is with us as in the following song and prayer" credited to

Jad Harvey Quintos

¹⁰ Writhe and groan, O daughter Zion, like a woman in labor; for now you shall go forth from the city and camp in the open country, you shall go to Babylon. There you shall be rescued, there the LORD will redeem you from the hands of the enemies.

(Book of the Small Prophet Micah Chapter 4 verse 10)

Oh God, my Father life is really like that of a woman in labour. Pangs of pain and discomfort are the rule of the day, however, after all this time of labor, we will be delivered like a baby to You my heavenly Father Amen.

¹¹ Now many nations are assembled against you, saying, "Let her be profaned, and let our eyes gaze upon Zion.

(Book of the Small Prophet Micah Chapter 4 verse 11)

Oh God my blessed Father, many may look at us and wish that we experience some form or other tribulation for the simple reason that we believe in You, I pray that You defend me from such people Amen.

¹² But they do not know the thoughts of the LORD; they do not understand his plan, that he has gathered them as sheaves to the threshing floor.

(Book of the Small Prophet Micah Chapter 4 verse 12)

Oh God my blessed Father, who may know Your thoughts or plans for the world or for us as individuals. Every day of my life is a present or a gift that only You know what it contains. I pray that You help me in meeting the demands of the day, in faith love and spiritual fervour for Your name Amen. Help me oh God my Father to be considered by You as being the wheat and not the weed or the chaff. May I be found useful in Your eyes Amen. Thank You Jesus.

¹³ Arise and thresh, O daughter Zion, for I will make your hoofs bronze; you shall beat in pieces many people, and shall devote their gain to the LORD, their wealth to the Lord of the whole earth.

(Book of the Small Prophet Micah Chapter 4 verse 12)

Oh brothers and sisters, arise and shine over your tribulations, for God my Father and Your Father is promising to strengthen our areas of weakness and make us victorious over our enemies. Amen. He is able to change their personal victories into a gain for the whole world Amen. He is victorious and worthy to be praised. I invite you all to join me in the following song and prayer called Rise up you people of power credit to Mark Conner by clicking on the following link;-

Rise up you people of power

Oh God, my Father I would like to end this reflection on the fourth chapter of the book of Micah with the following prayer:

Oh God my Father, blessed be the day when as one nation we will march towards Your throne, the throne of our salvation. Blessed be the day when we will appear before Your judgment seat and finally if it is according to Your will we will be found worthy to remain in Your presence. Even though I am a sinner I pray that I be worthy of being in Your presence Amen. Blessed be Your Name Amen.
